Alcornites,
A few months have passed since we were all together for the Mid-Winter Conference. We received rave reviews from Alcornites all over the country and we are thankful for their praises. We as Alcornites have always been a close knit group and I want to solicit your prayers for a few members of our chapter that have gone through some challenging times in the last few weeks and days.
Ø Belinda Johnson’s sister (Roberta Louise Pilate, also a member of our chapter) had open heart surgery on this past Thursday( May 28, 2009). She had to undergo a second surgery on Saturday night due to an intestinal blockage. The doctors will keep her on a ventilator and heavily sedated for a few more days. Belinda is at the hospital with her around the clock. She is in the Surgical ICU unit of North Houston Medical Center (1960 & 45) Ø Erskine Payne recently lost one of his nephews that was attending Mississippi State Ø Esther Ransom’s brother passed two weeks ago Ø Brenda Griffin lost a cousin last week (many of you may remember that she suffered the tragic loss of a family member during the conference) Ø Mrs. Theresa Prater had foot surgery (currently at home recovering) Ø Lori George is still recovering from foot surgery Ø Dr. Mary White was recently hospitalized
As we are directed by His Word: Let’s ‘Pray Without Ceasing’.
